During these difficult and trying times, we believe that now more than ever, presents an incredible opportunity to unite in prayer so that our family, friends and neighbours will come to a saving knowledge of Christ. We pray that they may experience the love and peace of Jesus Christ in a life-transforming way.
Over 11 days we invite you to join us as we meditate, pray, and sing together, longing for God to move in reviving and saving power. We will also celebrate our Scottish christian heritage as we meditate upon some of the questions of the Scots Shorter Catechism and join in the singing of the Scottish Metrical Psalms.
Q. 1. What is the chief end of man?
A. Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.
SING (or PONDER the words of) SCOTTISH METRICAL PSALM 23
Please follow your own Daily Bible Reading Schedule.
Write down the names of 5 people who you would love to see become followers of Jesus Christ.
Name them before the Lord, asking God to draw them in grace, mercy and love to trust and follow Jesus Christ.
Close your prayer time with the Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever. Amen.
